Donate
One amount, handed over at one door, spent on the thing it was named for. Giving here is a transaction you can follow, not a gesture you have to trust.
Before you give, this page says what the money is for. After you give, it shows what the money did.
A gift you cannot trace is a gift you were asked to forget.
Charitable status is pending. Nothing on this page assumes it has been granted.
Give. Follow. Ask.
HOW GIVING WORKS HERE
You should know what your
money does before giving it.
Every amount is named for a purpose before it is asked for, and every purpose reports back after the money is spent. If you cannot see what a gift did, we count that as our failure, not your bad luck.
THE GIFT
Give, and
watch it land.
One amount, one door, one purpose you chose. Before you give, this page says what the money is for. After you give, it shows what it did. Nothing is charged until the last button.
The sources
No amount here
was invented.
Most amounts are lifted unchanged from a published catalogue. We give you the entry, not our word for it.
Taken from a published list
Aid catalogues price what they supply — a blanket, a water filter, a month of school. Where such an entry exists, it is the amount we ask for: unchanged and unrounded.
The route it takes
From your account
to the ledger.
The door you chose takes its share here, before anything reaches us. We do not pretend to absorb it — absorbing a fee only means paying it out of somebody else’s gift. What each door charges is published and kept current.
Before you press send
Sentences we hear
before a gift.
Yes, and without explaining yourself. A monthly gift ends when you say it ends.
Stopping takes a message
Write to the address in the foot of this page and the next payment does not happen. No form, no telephone queue, no notice period — and we do not ask why.
Questions that come back
Fair questions,
answered plainly.
None of these has a flattering answer, and each of them has a true answer. If your question is not here, write to us and it will be — the list grows out of what people actually ask.
Other ways in
A gift is not the only
thing worth giving.
Professionals and volunteers, prepared, checked and placed where they fit. Your trade matters more than your title.
After
The part most
organisations skip.
A receipt reaches you at once. Later your gift becomes a row anybody can read — what it bought, what the journey cost, and what is still lying unspent. If we got a price wrong, that is written down too, beside the right figure. We would rather be the organisation that publishes its own corrections than the organisation somebody else has to catch.
ODE TO HUMANITY
It asks not who you are.
Our mission is simple: clarity, wherever humanity needs protecting.
The world does not lack for storms.
It lacks for people who stay when the sky clears,
who mend, who teach, who remain.
Somewhere tonight a door opens
for someone with nowhere to knock,
and a promise made in 1949
is kept by hands like ours.
This is humanity, and it takes no sides.
It asks not who you are,
but how deep the wound is.
