Why a donor should care about any of this
Legal form is not paperwork trivia. It decides three things that matter to someone deciding whether to give you money: who is on the hook if it goes wrong, who has the power to inspect us, and whether the organisation survives the departure of the people currently running it.
A registered entry means you can check us without our permission. That is a different kind of trust from reading a nicely written page — including this one.

What we are not claiming
Until the charitable and tax entry above is filled in, we are not a recognised charity for tax purposes and nothing on this site should be read as saying we are. We will not use the word in a way that implies recognition we have not been granted.
The same applies to receipts. If we cannot yet issue one that is any use to you at tax time, we will say so directly rather than sending something that looks official and is not.

If you need something in writing
Ask, and we will send whatever documentation exists at the time you ask — including, if that is the true answer, confirmation that a registration is still in progress.
